Where it runs

Where your
server runs

Ekire doesn't own or operate a datacenter. We rent space in buildings other companies run, and we run the machines inside them: the hosts, the hypervisor, the disks your data sits on. Houston and Singapore are live.

01 · Compute

The host your server runs on.

The fleet is a mix. Some hosts are AMD EPYC, some are Ryzen, some are Intel; memory is DDR4 or DDR5 depending on the machine, and storage is Gen 4 NVMe throughout. We don't promise a specific CPU model on any plan, so don't buy one expecting a particular chip. Your server itself is a KVM virtual machine that boots its own kernel, so the CPU, the memory and the disk are yours to use however you want, with root and a public IPv4 on it from the first boot.

02 · Regions

Two regions, same price.

Houston and Singapore are both live, and a plan costs the same in either one. Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Mumbai are coming. We don't have dates for them yet. Your disk lives on the host you deployed to and stays in that region until you move it. Latency follows distance, so measure it from where your users are before you commit.

03 · Uptime

What the SLA covers.

A 100% uptime SLA covers downtime we cause, and the credit scales with how long the outage ran. The terms and the credit schedule are on the SLA page.

100% uptime SLA
Compliance

Compliance attestations.

Ekire holds no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or PCI attestation, and there’s no audit report we can send you.

The buildings our machines sit in may carry certifications of their own. Those belong to the operators who run them, and we don’t list them here as ours. If your compliance program requires an attestation from your hosting provider, Ekire won’t clear it today.

Questions

Common questions.

Does Ekire own the datacenter?

No. We rent space and run our own machines in it. The building, its power and its cooling belong to the operator.

What does the 100% uptime SLA cover?

Downtime we cause. The credit scales with how long your server was unavailable. The terms and the credit schedule are on the SLA page.

What hardware will my server land on?

An AMD EPYC, Ryzen or Intel host, with DDR4 or DDR5, depending on which machine has room. Storage is Gen 4 NVMe throughout. We don’t promise a specific CPU model on any plan.

Where does my data physically sit?

On NVMe on the host your server runs on, in the region you chose. It stays in that region until you move it.

What if a whole region has a problem?

Nothing copies between regions on its own. If you want your data in both, put it there yourself: a snapshot, a backup, or a second server in the other region.
