Hiring process

Every application gets an answer

You apply, take a structured interview on your own time, and get scored against a benchmark that was fixed before the role opened. Then you hear back, whatever the answer.

What was broken

What we changed, and what it replaced

A lot of us have sent applications into a void, sat through three rounds only to hear nothing, or got a rejection that explained nothing at all. That frustration isn't abstract to us: it's what shaped every step below. Three of those kept happening, and each one has a fix under it.

The old wayHow we fixed it

Applying into silence

You always hear back, and always know what happens next.

Vague, copy-paste rejections

Real feedback, mapped to exactly where you stood.

Weeks between interview rounds

Book your own interview the moment you clear the cutoff.

The process

Six steps, start to finish

The whole sequence, in order. Every step says whose move it is: yours or ours. We publish no day count, because it varies by role and we haven't measured it.

  1. Apply to an open roleyour move

Every open role is on the careers page with a description of what you would own, not a list of buzzwords.

  2. Interview nowyour move

Tap the interview button on any open role and you go straight to the interview portal. No scheduling back and forth, no waiting on a recruiter's calendar. A structured interview built for that role, taken on your own time.

  3. Get scoredours

Scored against a fixed benchmark built for that role, the same way every other candidate is measured. No panel mood, no first-impression bias, no advantage for whoever interviewed last on a Friday afternoon. 75 or above clears the cutoff.

  4. Meet a humanyour move

Clear the cutoff and you don't wait to be contacted: you get a link to book a slot on a real person's live calendar.

  5. Read your feedbackours

Whatever the outcome, structured feedback mapped to the areas the role needed: where you were strong, where the gap was, and what would have moved the needle.

  6. Grow and reapplyyour move

A closed door today isn't final. Work on the gaps and reapply when a matching role opens.

Scoring

The same interview, the same cutoff, for everyone

Nobody gets an easier version. The benchmark for a role is written before the posting goes live, and it doesn't move because of who applied, when they applied, or who read the transcript.

The limit

Where the process makes you wait

Meeting a person is the one step that doesn't scale: there are only so many slots on a real calendar. We'd rather you read that here than discover it after you've cleared the cutoff.

The people

What we look for

The benchmark handles the skills a role needs. These four sit underneath it, and they're the same whichever job you apply for.

Bias for action

You would rather try something and adjust than wait for a perfect plan.

Comfort with ambiguity

Unclear problems don't stall you, they interest you.

Ownership mentality

You treat a problem you noticed as a problem you will solve, not flag and forget.

Hunger to improve

Feedback moves you forward instead of putting you on the defensive.

Accountability

We hold ourselves to the same standard

A process is only as fair as what happens when it gets something wrong. Two things are on us.

Grievance redressal

If any part of your experience feels unfair, write to grievance@ekire.com. It's reviewed independently of the hiring team for that role.

Published bias audits

We publish our AI bias audit research openly, so the system that scores you is answerable to outside scrutiny rather than being a black box we alone vouch for.

The promise

What we promise, whatever the outcome

Four commitments. They hold whether you get an offer, get a no, or never clear the score.

  • We respond to every application. No black hole.
  • You always know where you stand and what happens next.
  • Feedback is specific to you, never a template.
  • A no today comes with a real path to a yes later.
